Cashew Cinnamon Date Cream & Cranberry Cashew Tahini Cream

Cashew Cinnamon Date Cream
Recently I’ve started using Instagram and though I opened an account a year ago I just recently started using it. I love seeing other people’s interests in images and sharing little things throughout my day, tid bits of ideas and inspiration to share with others and in turn receiving the same and from all over the world – it’s been engaging, rewarding and so much fun. I’d like to share the little things here too for instance the creams I make that take my breakfast to a whole new level,  I remember when an omelet was exciting but how boring as I look back.
Cashew creams are everywhere and why not there’s so much to be done with cashews.
I love this naturally sweet version with dates. I top this on whole grain breakfasts bowls, oatmeal, and fruit.

Cashew Date Cream
½ cup soaked cashews up to 1 hour
6 medjool pitted dates soaked in purified or spring water if dry
½ tsp cinnamon
1 cup water or use the date water from soaked medjool

Add one cup of water, followed by the cashews, dates and cinnamon blend on high using a powerful blender such as Vitamix until smooth and creamy.

Makes 1.5 cups

Cranberry Cashew Tahini Cream
3/4 cup water
1/2 heaping cup dried cranberry – re hydrate if too dry
1/4 cup raw cashew
2 tbsp tahini
3/4 tsp cinnamon or cardamom

Combine all in order above in high speed blender
